@peiraisotta, yes! This is so good and much needed. Education is one way we can bring in new of contributors, and events are where they find out there’s a community behind the software. And having every event engage with the education programs the same way will create consistency and make it easier for organizers and much better for students.
@nukaga, on combining it with the Education Sponsor Fund: <a href="https://make.wordpress.org/community/2026/09/10/proposal-wordcamp-education-sponsor-fund-for-flagships/#comment-33182" rel="ugc">we’re won't run that as a separate program</a>, but flagships can offer student sponsorships themselves, the way WCEU did, and sponsors can give toward student travel any time through events.wordpress.org/sponsor/.
@webtechpooja, good idea to think about how to apply this to local and regional WordCamps too!
