A Lindsay Clancy juror who wanted to find her not guilty supported Karen Read during her murder trial, social media posts revealed.

Three women who served on the 12-person jury that failed to decide Clancy's fate broke their silence in an interview with NBC Boston.

The women favored finding Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity and described explosive arguments with the holdout male juror, who would not acquit despite reasonable doubt.

Resurfaced Facebook posts from an account that matches one of those jurors, Kellie Farina, showed she was an adamant supporter of Read during her 2025 murder trial and actively participated in a group called 'Free Karen Read.'

Read was acquitted in the high-profile murder trial over the death of her Boston cop boyfriend, John O'Keefe.

On the day of Read's acquittal, Farina wrote: 'Over and Out Page. Massachusetts Jury did their rightful duty today. Karen's free.'

She also criticized the disgraced lead investigator of the case, former state trooper Michael Proctor, calling him a 'POS' (piece of [expletive]), and slammed special prosecutor Hank Brennan, calling him a 'freaking joke.'

Karen Read Murder Trial

Read was accused of backing her SUV into her former boyfriend and then driving off, leaving him to die on the snowy front lawn of Brian Albert, a fellow Boston police officer, on January 29, 2022, while intoxicated.

She long maintained her innocence and insisted that she was framed by his cop friends.

While her first trial ended with a hung jury, Read was acquitted during her second trial when multiple jurors said the 'sloppy investigation' into O'Keefe's death left them with too much reasonable doubt.

Proctor was fired after the first trial for misconduct when it was revealed that he sent text messages to friends, family and co-workers calling Read a 'whack job' and wrote that he hoped she would kill herself.

Another point of contention in Read's trial was that a federal agent who was at the party at Albert's house, Brian Higgins, acknowledged at trial destroying his phone and SIM card afterward and disposing of them in two different locations on a military base.

Farina's posts in the 'Free Karen Read' echoed the theories that she was framed by the police. Those claims have been unproven.

Clancy, 36, was on trial for killing her three children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months, at her Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.

She admitted to strangling her children, but pleaded not guilty to murder by reason of insanity, citing postpartum psychosis.

Clancy Trial Ends in Mistrial

During five weeks of grueling testimony, prosecutors argued the killings were intentional and well planned, not the work of someone who had lost control.

The 12-person jury, made up of nine women and three men, spent more than 37 hours deliberating if she was guilty of murder, manslaughter, or not guilty. They were not sequestered during deliberations.

Ultimately, Judge William Sullivan was forced to declare a mistrial on Friday when it was revealed that a lone juror refused to find her not guilty despite having reasonable doubt.

During her interview with the local news station after serving on the Clancy jury, Farina said prosecutors lacked compassion and were cold.

'I know it's their job, but in a case like this, you expect a little bit,' she said.

Jurors also heard the 911 call Clancy's then-husband made when he found their children strangled.

Farina described Patrick's 911 call as 'the most horrific thing,' and revealed the jury played it again in the deliberation room and cried.

'We were just like, "My God, the desperation." The despair in his voice was... It's something that will stick with me,' Farina said.

The Daily Mail contacted Farina for comment.

@thecrimedesk Lindsay Clancy's defense lawyer had a poignant message for the juror who blocked the Massachusetts mom's non-guilty verdict in her murder trial today. 'Where do I begin to thank these jurors…minus one,' Kevin Reddington told reporters in a press conference on Friday afternoon. 'I hope that guy can sleep at night.' The former labor and delivery nurse stared absently as Judge William Sullivan made the mistrial declaration today, as several female jurors wept. Reddington appeared devastated. The group of 12 jurors submitted a note to the judge on Friday morning to say they could not come to a unanimous decision after deliberating for almost 38 hours. It marked the third time that the panel, made up of nine women and three men, were deadlocked, with only one juror unable to agree. 'It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision and will not be able to,' the judge read to the court. Reddington made a last-ditch effort to appeal to the Supreme Judicial Court to 'to inquire into the ability of the identified juror to apply the law,' before the emergency appeal was denied. Reuters #lindsayclancy #law #crime #trial #news ♬ original sound - The Crime Desk
