Portable storage is most useful when it is fast, compact, and easy to connect, and the ADATA SC735 External SSD aims to deliver all three. This pocket-sized portable solid-state drive features a built-in retractable USB Type-C connector, eliminating the need to carry a separate cable when transferring files between compatible devices. Using a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, the SC735 offers advertised sequential read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s, making it suitable for moving large files, editing media, expanding a game library, and recording Apple ProRes video on supported iPhones. Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, the drive weighs only 13.6 grams and is rated to withstand drops of up to 1.22 meters. Is the SC735 the ideal portable SSD for creators, gamers, and anyone who needs fast storage on the go? Let’s take a look!

Special thanks to ADATA for providing us with the SC735 External SSD to review.

The SC735 comes in ADATA’s standard retail packaging. On the front we have a picture of the drive itself and it does let us know the capacity, which is 2000GB or 2TB. Currently ADATA is only offering this drive in 1TB and 2TB versions. Flipping the package over we have more information.

Opening the box up all you’ll find inside is the SC735 drive itself.
