Creepy Bobby Pulido’s meltdown put his appalling judgment on national display. Asked about the convicted child sex offender who performed with his band after prison, including at a middle school fundraiser, Pulido offered excuse after excuse.

He said he didn’t conduct background checks. He insisted he didn’t know about the sex crimes. When he pointed to his bandmate’s failure to register, CNN fact-checked him in real time.

Then came another stunning explanation: Pulido said he finally fired the bandmate after learning he was beating his wife.

Every time South Texans learn more about Creepy Bobby, the record gets uglier:

• Pulido bragged about getting his career-criminal bandmate out of jail. That same bandmate later assaulted an 8-year-old girl, and then Pulido still brought him out to perform at a Texas middle school benefit concert.
• Pulido downplayed child molestation as “Not Necessarily Rape.”
• Pulido has a rich history of using racist and homophobic slurs.   
• Pulido loves to disparage women and post porn online 
• Pulido joked about a woman drinking semen smoothies: “Ladies, finally we’re good for something.”
