In February, Demi detailed her battle with self-confidence as she compared herself now to her teenage years, when she first developed the condition.
Admitting that she 'used to hate' the patches, the beauty explained that she now wouldn't change them for the world.
Sharing the inspiring post, she prompted her 574k followers to feel confident too while assuring that everybody suffers insecurities.
Demi shared a picture from behind-the-scenes on a photoshoot, showing the white patches across her chest and arms.
While another picture in the post was from her teenage years, when she had patches on her forehead and under eyes.
Explaining that she has now gotten rid of the patches on her forehead, the TV star admitted that she struggled to accept them in her younger years - but now finds them 'edgy'.

She captioned: 'After speaking on my stories about my vitiligo the other day a lot more people was asking me to speak about it more, the 2nd picture was when I was a young teenager and the first year I developed it, I was able to get rid of my forehead patches but everything else wanted to stay.
'I was really down that year as you can imagine, as this was over 10 years ago I thought I looked weird and it really took a toll on me mentally.
'As I got older some of my patches have grown as you can see on my neck it has got way bigger now, and you notice them way more in the summer when I’ve caught a tan.
'I used to hate these patches whereas now I find them so me, I find them kinda edgy and cool, If someone offered me a treatment tomorrow that would get rid of them I hand on my heart would say No! P*** off!
Continuing: 'I owe a huge deal of respect and thank yous to the people who have always urged me to talk more about it and to love it, otherwise I would always shy away!'
