AI Agents Inherit the Gender Pay Gap: Study Shows Female Avatars Paid 10% Less

Дата публикации: 08-10-2026 22:12:15

A University of Limerick VR study found participants paid a female-presenting AI agent 10.25% less than an identical male one for the same tasks using the same GPT-4 model. The male agent was also seen as more human-like, revealing how gender cues shape trust and compensation even in digital coworkers. Companies must address these biases as AI agents enter workplaces.
