The POVA 8 5G is the latest offering from the brand, succeeding last year’s POVA 7 5G with significant upgrades in performance, battery life, connectivity, and AI-powered software experiences. The smartphone introduces a new triple-chip architecture, a massive 8,000 mAh battery, a 144 Hz display, and a customizable Alive Matrix Display on the rear panel. Other highlights include a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 sensor camera, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC, and AI features.
Designed around the brand’s signature sci-fi-inspired aesthetic, the POVA 8 5G features geometric styling elements and a semi-transparent rear panel. One of the biggest highlights is the new Alive Matrix Display, an interactive lighting panel integrated into the back of the phone. The customizable light panel supports up to 49 animation effects and can react to incoming calls, notifications, charging status, and gaming activities. Users can also personalize the lighting behavior according to their preferences.
