On Tuesday, Sept. 1, Samo Girls Tennis defeated Notre Dame Academy, by a score of 17-1. The game took place at the Samo tennis court with dozens of parents and friends coming to watch the play. The team currently has an undefeated overall record of 2-0 in the preseason, following a 15-3 victory over Venice High School on Aug 29. Samo was in Division 3 last year and they finished the season with a 12-3 record after their match against Canyon High School, resulting in an impressive record. Sasha Lu (‘29) shared her thoughts on the match.

“I think everyone persevered,” Lu said. “People weren’t cheering as often because I think this is just our second match of the year, so it was a little difficult getting used to. But it ended up being good.”

The following game will take place at Redondo High School, on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
