I am excited to announce our first key leadership appointment as we continue our expansion into the business of sports. Rachel Fleitell joins us today as General Manager of our specialized sports business news, data and intelligence platform planned for launch in early 2027.

This new business represents the latest execution of Dow Jones’s proven vertical strategy, applying the successful blueprint we’ve seen elsewhere to our Consumer group. As sports rapidly shifts into a global institutional asset class, our product will serve as an operating hub for the industry’s decision-makers—including team owners, institutional investors, operators and advisors. It will combine authoritative, specialized reporting with proprietary data and market analysis to meet the day-to-day workflow needs of executives across the ecosystem.

Crucially, Rachel will work in close collaboration with newsroom leadership to ensure this team seamlessly complements and expands upon our current offerings, adding deep-dive financial analysis, specialized data products and unique convenings. An editorial lead will be appointed soon to partner with Rachel in driving the development and success of this endeavor.

As the founding operator, Rachel will oversee strategy, team build-out, P&L, execution and GTM for the brand. She joins us from 35V, where she served as COO and helped build Boardroom from an early-stage idea into a leading sports media brand. With over 20 years of experience in strategy, operations and business development, Rachel brings deep industry expertise to our team. She is based in New York, will sit on the 4th floor, and report directly to me.
