I honestly thought the days of getting a legitimately good deal on the Mac mini were over. After Apple raised prices on the M6 Mac mini again on top of the previous price hike on the M4, I assumed we’d never see a Mac mini deal worth writing about. But after yesterday’s $120 price drop on the entry-level mini, today Amazon has slashed $150 off the step-up model with 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
That’s a deal worth picking up. The M6 Mac mini is an excellent machine and with this memory and storage boost, it’s sure to run at top speed for years to come. And since the next update probably won’t arrive until 2028, you won’t have to worry about buyer’s remorse.
You already know how great Apple silicon is. This is the latest chip, and likely the only one in the M6 family as Apple isn’t expected to release Pro or Max versions for this generation. Since this version has 512GB of storage, you’ll also get faster SSD speeds since it uses a dual-SSD module rather than a single one.
Otherwise, the machine has a fantastic design with a ridiculously small footprint, excellent expansion, and the latest connectivity, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 with Apple’s N1 wireless networking chip. I love everything about it, from the front-facing USB-C ports to its adorable design that can fit anywhere on your desk.
The only thing I don’t love is the price. But with this deal, I don’t love it a little less. It still costs more than a comparable model did earlier this year, but $150 off is a legitimate deal the likes of which I didn’t think we’d see again till 2029. So if you want one, don’t hesitate to grab it.
