Titled “Orange Plague,” the 2.5-meter satirical piece depicts the US president naked and clutching a long gold club as he sits on the shoulders of a smaller man buckling beneath his weight.

Danish artist Jens Galschiot made it and says it’s coated in 23-karat gold. It also goes by the name “King of Injustice.”

Cards next to the statue explain that the figure is “sitting on the back of a man” buckling beneath him. “I would do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back,” one reads, with Galschiot blaming Trump for getting in the way of efforts to confront climate change.

The statue sits at an intersection connecting two of the parliament’s buildings in Strasbourg, France, and is set to stay there until Thursday.

Left-wing Danish parliament member Per Clausen, who invited the artist, says he isn’t worried about how Trump might react. “If someone is so thin-skinned that they cannot tolerate this sculpture being exhibited in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage,” Clausen said.

Trump hasn’t commented on the piece, which has also been shown in other European cities and at the COP30 UN climate conference in Belem, Brazil.
