The Ontario Provincial Police said on Oct. 6 that Cathy Percey, 53, was wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Robert Prévost, whose body was found in the Ottawa River in May 2025.

Prévost, 63, had been listed as a missing person in March 2025 and had last been seen at his home on Laurier Street in Clarence-Rockland a month before that.

Percey was known to frequent the Ottawa, Rockland and Gatineau areas, an OPP news release said.

In June, the OPP announced the arrests of three people: Jessica St. Michael of Ottawa, charged with first-degree murder and indignity to a body; Luc Décarie of St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Que., charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and indignity to a human body; and Yvon Cieno of Ottawa, charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy and indignity to a human body.

In September, the Ontario Provincial Police said that Mathew Blake of Arnprior had been charged with second-degree murder, indignity to a dead body and obstructing a peace officer and that Sébastien Boucher of Rockland had been charged with obstructing a peace officer, obstructing justice and accessory after the fact.

The Oct. 6 release said the Crime Unit of the Russell County detachment was continuing the investigation.

Anyone with any information regarding the investigation was asked to contact the Russell County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
