"One of the critical matters is, certainly, localization of production facilities," the Russian leader said
MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Business and scientific efforts should be consolidated to efficiently localize the entire battery manufacturing chain in Russia, President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting on power accumulation issues.
"One of the critical matters is, certainly, localization of production facilities. This means an end-to-end chain with the predominant use of Russian raw materials," the president said. "To this end, deposits of mineral resources used in making energy accumulators should be developed more actively, cutting-edge technologies, materials, electronics and software should be implemented," Putin noted.
"I expect the government, the major business, metallurgical and chemical companies, scientific and educational institutions will consolidate efforts to solve this task," the head of state added.
