X-comment from +make.wordpress.org/training: Comment on The AI-Powered WordPress course is now live on Learn WordPress!
Curious what AI actually looks like inside WordPress? Now you can find out for yourself.
With the release of WordPress 7.0, AI is built directly into WordPress core Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress. through the canonical AI plugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress. These can be free in the WordPress.org Plugin Directory https://wordpress.org/plugins/ or can be cost-based plugin from a third-party.. The new AI-Powered WordPress course on Learn WordPress walks you through what that means in practice, from connecting your first AI provider to building your own AI-powered features.
The course moves learners through a progressive learning journey, leveling them up in AI proficiency through WordPress’ tools. Each module builds on the last, so by the end you’ll understand how AI works across WordPress and have the confidence to use it at whatever level fits your goals.
What you’ll learnThe first three modules are for anyone who manages or publishes on a WordPress site: owners, content creators, editors, and administrators. No coding experience is required.
Module 4 goes further, introducing the developer APIs that power WordPress AI. It’s written to be approachable even if you haven’t built a plugin before, while still giving experienced developers a practical introduction to the new AI building blocks in core.
