Advisors with clients connecting through Paris this fall have a new way to sell a layover. Air France and Extime Travel, the airport retail and hospitality arm of Groupe ADP, are now offering Paris Stopover, a bookable package program that lets passengers transiting Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport step out of the airport for one to four nights and see the city or its surroundings before continuing on.

Half of Air France’s arrivals at CDG are connecting to somewhere else, which is the audience the carrier is chasing. Passengers select the Stopover option on the Air France site when booking, on either the outbound or return leg, and then choose a package from Extime Travel that bundles transfers, a four- or five-star hotel in central Paris or at Disneyland Paris, and a set of experiences sized to the length of the stay. Extime Travel handles the logistics end to end.

Two packages are live at launch. Paris Must-See covers the standard-issue icons, from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre, while the Disneyland Paris option is built for families. The partners say premium tiers and cultural, culinary, and festive excursions are coming, along with itineraries that showcase the communities around the airport itself.

The demand case rests on a Pégase Chair study from April 2026, which found 81% of passengers connecting in Paris were somewhat or very interested in leaving the airport between flights. Interest was higher still among Brazilian travelers, at 92.3%, and Indian travelers, at 90%, the latter group having been freed from France’s airport transit visa requirement in April.

A few mechanics matter for advisors. The program is open across every cabin, from Economy through La Première, but only to passengers who booked with the Stopover option and have a connection of at least 27 hours. Packages can be reserved with Extime Travel up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability.

Paris Stopover is the first big deliverable from Connect France, the partnership Air France-KLM and Groupe ADP signed in June 2025 to build up the CDG hub and lean on France’s standing as the world’s most-visited country. The two say it makes CDG the first major European hub to offer a packaged tourist experience between flights, though Icelandair, Turkish Airlines, and others have run stopover programs at smaller hubs for years.
