Karl Stefanovic has been told to 'get on with it' by a frustrated judge as his legal battle with his former business partner Keshnee Ibrahim continues.

The former Today host is locked in a dispute with Ibrahim over their podcast company, 123 Podcast, which runs The Karl Stefanovic Show.

Both Stefanovic and Ibrahim own 45 per cent of the company, while his accountant Anthony Bell owns the remaining 10 per cent.

Their business relationship has now broken down, with the pair agreeing that Stefanovic will buy out Ibrahim's stake.

The latest dispute centred on how quickly the company could be valued so the buyout could proceed.

A joint valuation expert told the NSW Supreme Court they needed more time to prepare a report, asking to push the deadline from October 7 to October 12 or 13.

Justice David Hammerschlag was not impressed.

'I'm not putting up with this,' he said, questioning why more time was needed for what he described as a straightforward valuation.

The judge also suggested the parties should 'get a better expert' if the valuer could not meet the deadline.

He then ordered both sides to prepare their own one-page assessment setting out what they believed the business was worth and how they had reached that figure.

'Experts are there for the court, the court is not there for them,' Justice Hammerschlag said.

The matter will return to court next week.

The dispute first came before the court after Ibrahim raised concerns about her position as a director of the company, seeking to prevent a meeting at which she feared she could be removed.

Stefanovic subsequently agreed to buy her 45 per cent stake, but the deal cannot be finalised until the company is valued.

The court is now working to resolve the valuation issue so the buyout can proceed without further delays.

In September, Monica Allen, for Ibrahim, said that the podcast had originated when Stefanovic had approached her to build and operate the business.

While he was the talent, it is understood Ibrahim did 'the heavy lifting', building a substantial audience, sponsorship and commercial opportunities while Stefanovic was still at Channel Nine's Today Show.

Ibrahim has edited magazines owned by Pacific Magazines and Bauer, and was recently employed as Woolworths' head of content.
