Tim Burton recruited his daughter Nell as his plus one on Friday as they attended the Loewe Paris Fashion Week show.

The film-maker, 68, looked in great spirits as he arrived to the show arm-in-arm with the 18-year-old, whom he shares with former partner Helena Bonham Carter, 60.

Opting for his usual black ensemble, Tim looked smart in a black suit and coordinating shirt, which he teamed with dark shades.

Meanwhile, Nell, who has appeared in a number of Tim's films as a child, opted for a simple black minidress for the outing.

She added pointed black shoes to her look, while adding a pop of colour with a lemon yellow handbag.

The Edward Scissorhands director happily smiled and waved to onlookers before taking his place on the front row with his youngest child. 

Tim, who split from Monica Bellucci last year, was famously in a long-term relationship with The Crown actress Helena, but they split in 2014.

The pair were never married, but were together for 13 years and in addition to Nell, also share a son, Billy, 22.

Helena spoke about the split with Harper's Bazaar magazine in 2016. 

She said: 'You go through massive grief - it is a death of a relationship, so it’s utterly bewildering. Your identity, everything, changes.' 

'Just saying: "I'm not myself at the moment, so be careful. Everyone always says you have to be strong and have a stiff upper lip, but it’s okay to be fragile.'

Helena and Tim got together in 2001 after he cast her as an ape in Planet Of The Apes.

They famously lived in inter-connecting houses during their relationship, with each property decorated to their own his 'n' hers tastes and personal styles.

Helena kept both houses after their split, though she admitted it makes her feel like an 'alien person' as she sleeps in one and their kids stay in another. 

Last year, Tim split with Italian actress and model Monica, 62, with the pair announcing their break-up in a joint statement.

They simply said: 'It is with much respect and deep care for each other that Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have decided to part ways.'

Monica and Tim made their official red carpet debut together October 2023 months after she confirmed they were dating, and he directed her in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - their first project together. 

Tim and Monica first met in 2006 but are said to have started dating after reconnecting at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon in October 2022.

Monica confirmed their relationship in June of the following year as she told Elle France: 'What I can say... I'm glad I met the man, first of all.'

She continued: 'It's one of those encounters that rarely happens in life... I know the man, I love him, and now I'm going to meet the director, another adventure begins.

'I love Tim. And I have great respect for Tim Burton.'
