Indiana Sen. Shelli Yoder will host a virtual rally at noon Friday, Oct. 9, to discuss menstrual equity and efforts to end the state’s tax on menstrual products.

The event, titled “No Taxation on Menstruation,” will be held online. People who register will receive a Zoom link and event information closer to the rally. The RSVP form also asks whether attendees want updates about menstrual equity efforts in Indiana.

The event listing on Facebook showed 48 people had responded as of Tuesday morning, including two who said they planned to attend and 46 who marked themselves interested.

The RSVP form does not specify which menstrual products are subject to tax or describe any proposed legislation. The Bloomingtonian has not independently verified the event organizers’ legislative claims.
