MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he is fully in favor of a trilateral meeting with US leader Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, but an agenda is required.

"As for a possible trilateral meeting, I know this is being discussed in the media. We are all for it. But there is a question - or rather, an issue: an agenda is needed," he noted at the plenary session of the 23rd meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.

Putin emphasized the need to understand first what the parties would discuss at the meeting.

"But overall, any dialogue is beneficial," he noted.
