Bozzuto is moving its corporate headquarters from Greenbelt, Md., to Maple Lawn in Howard County about 45 minutes north after signing a 57,837-square-foot office lease at the 605-acre mixed-use community.
The real estate development, construction and management company announced Wednesday that it will occupy two and a half floors at 8160 Maple Lawn Boulevard in Fulton, Md., and plans to move about 225 employees there during the first quarter of 2027. Bozzuto will also keep its Greenbelt office as a corporate services hub.
Maple Lawn is a partnership between Greenebaum Enterprises and St. John Properties. The community includes more than 1,300 homes, over 1.8 million square feet of commercial space and more than 215,000 square feet of retail.
“The wide range of walkable amenities, including restaurants, shops, grocery, recreation and an onsite hotel are extremely attractive to businesses seeking to provide the best work environment for their employees,” Matt Lenihan, executive vice president for St. John Properties, said in a statement.
Bozzuto manages about 150,000 apartments, employs nearly 5,000 people and has $3.5 billion in combined construction and development pipelines.
“We know firsthand that the right environment shapes how people connect, collaborate and thrive,” Bozzuto CEO and President Toby Bozzuto said in a statement.
Bozzuto is also preparing to relocate its Northern Virginia office. Once both moves are complete, the company will have five corporate offices across the Washington, D.C., region, and 10 nationwide, including a new office in Seattle.
St. John Properties Vice President Bill Jautze represented the landlord in the transaction. CBRE’s David Fields and Charlie Carroccio, along with Stream Realty’s Lou Christopher, represented Bozzuto.
