Representative Ashley Hinson, candidate for U.S. Senate, on Sept. 16 stated that “I want this war to end — I believe President Trump should immediately bring this war to a successful end….” This is just after she voted “no” on Sept. 15 on a resolution to stop the war. That was the sixth time she has voted “no” on stopping the war.

This war on Iran started on Feb. 28. A U.S. air strike killed 120 school children the first day. This absurd war is as illegal and unconstitutional today as it was on Feb. 28. Where was the outcry from Ashley Hinson then?

If you believe that the war should be ended “immediately,” how can it be ended “immediately” in a “successful” way? One way would be for President Trump to basically accept the Iranian offer to open the Strait of Hormuz in seven days conditioned upon U.S. acceptance of its terms. Let Trump try to paint that as a success. Could the other way be for the U.S. to launch a nuclear attack on Iran? Unthinkable.

At this point, we must realize that Ashley Hinson’s attempt to sound like a peacemaker is a farce.
