Bayern Munich defender Josip Stanišić is a major doubt for Croatia's upcoming game against Spain due to a virus.

Josip Stanišić has reportedly picked up a virus while on international duty with Croatia.

According to Croatian outlet Index.hr, the Bayern Munich full-back missed Monday’s training session due to the virus.

As a result, he is a major doubt for Croatia’s UEFA Nations League game against Spain on Tuesday night.

Stanišić played the full game as Croatia beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in their UEFA Nations League opener last week.

He has featured in all but one game for Bayern Munich so far this season.
