MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills Inc. has launched two new varieties of its classic cereal brands, both of which are made with colors from natural sources.

The new varieties include Lucky Charms Unicorn Cotton Candy Cereal, a gluten-free cotton candy-flavored cereal featuring three unicorn-shaped marshmallows in addition to 19 grams of whole grain plus essential vitamins and minerals; and Tropical Trix featuring Disney’s Moana Cereal, a fruit-forward tropical-flavored cereal made in partnership with Disney consisting of key vitamins, minerals and calcium.

“Whether it’s discovering new ways to make the magic of Lucky Charms even more enchanting or bringing on-screen experiences to our cereal bowls, we’re always looking for ways to make breakfast-time moments more memorable,” said Megan Brooks, business unit director of family favorites cereals at General Mills. “These cereals showcase the kind of creativity fans love, while also reflecting the progress we’re making to remove certified colors from our cereal portfolio.”

Both cereals will be available at US retailers starting this summer. General Mills also said it is committed to removing certified colors from its US cereal portfolio by summer 2026 and from its full US retail portfolio by the end of 2027.
