MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. The Russian stock market turned positive following an initial dip at the opening of the main trading session, according to Moscow Exchange (MOEX) data, while the Chinese yuan continued to rise.

At the start of the main session at 09:00 a.m. Moscow time, the benchmark MOEX and dollar-denominated RTS indices both slipped by 0.07% to 2,261.24 and 843.74 points, respectively. Meanwhile, the yuan opened 5.5 kopecks higher against the ruble compared to its previous close, trading at 12.523 rubles.

By 09:27 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index reversed losses to tick up 0.03% to 2,263.58 points, and the RTS index similarly gained 0.03% to reach 844.59 points. At the same time, the yuan was up 4.9 kopecks to at 12.517 rubles.

Earlier, during the early-morning session at 07:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index had opened 0.15% lower at 2,259.3 points.
