The self-proclaimed doctor, teacher and 'master healer' will appear in court on June 11 after allegedly visiting De Bruyne's home multiple times, claiming to be able to heal him with 'mystic powers'.
De Bruyne, whose physical condition has taken a hit in recent years as a result of numerous injuries, was reportedly inundated with leaflets and brochures from the 78-year-old man and was visited several times at his home in Bolderberg, Heusden-Zolder.
As reported by RMC Sport, a 40-year-old woman suffering from an inflammatory connective tissue disease has also been allegedly harassed by the accused fraud.
As a result, De Bruyne and the woman have decided to join the lawsuit as civil parties, according to the Belga agency.

The first hearing was held on Wednesday afternoon at the Hasselt Criminal Court, with De Bruyne absent ahead of Manchester City's trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
De Bruyne's entourage instead represented the midfielder at the hearing — with the substance of the case to be examined on June 11.
The star's 70-acre Belgian home was targeted by burglars just over two years ago and reportedly trashed during a break-in.
It was reported that the burglars used a stepladder to reach the first floor of the property in Bolderberg.
The Manchester City star, his wife Michele and their three children were not at the property at the time of the raid.
De Bruyne, 33, bought the 70-acre property in 2015 and built a villa made of natural white stone, which was completed in February 2019.
The house features a swimming pool, jacuzzi and basketball court.
Ahead of Manchester City's crucial clash with Tottenham on Wednesday, manager Pep Guardiola called on De Bruyne to be 'honest with himself' when determining his future over the coming months.
City’s boss confirmed Mail Sport’s story that De Bruyne — who is out of contract at the end of the season — will be afforded the opportunity to decide his next move after a decade at the club.

Although arguably the club’s greatest ever player, the 33-year-old was on the bench in defeat at Arsenal and didn’t play a minute at Real Madrid last week.
His performance as City lost against Liverpool on Sunday drew criticism and suggestions that his body could not cope with the Premier League’s demands.
‘I think in that situation he has to decide, that is the most important thing,’ the Spanish head coach said.
‘He’s completely honest with himself, to decide what he feels and what he can do in the next period of his life. He’s 34 in the summer and he has to decide, like what happened with David Silva for example.’
