MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. More than 32,000 children are born in Russia every year through in vitro fertilization (IVF), and the Russian Health Ministry will continue to increase the amount of medical care provided in this area, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"We will expand the volume of medical care for in vitro fertilization. More than 32,000 children are born every year in medical organizations [through this method of fertilization]," he said at the Mother and Child forum.

The minister added that the volume of medical care in this area has increased 1.5-fold over more than five years. According to Murashko, IVF makes a substantial contribution to the number of births.
