Financial assistance under Social Security Schemes, including old-age pension, will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts linked with their Aadhaar numbers from September 2026, District Collector S. Kandasamy said.

The Aadhaar-based payment system was introduced in accordance with the directions of the Government of India. Beneficiaries yet to link their Aadhaar with their bank accounts have been advised to approach their respective banks and complete the process. The district administration is taking steps to ensure that pension and other financial assistance reach beneficiaries without interruption, the District Collector said.

Beneficiaries requiring assistance or clarification can approach the help desks at the office of the Special Deputy Collector (Social Security Schemes) at the Collectorate or the offices of the Special Tahsildars (Social Security Schemes) at the respective taluk offices.
