Square Enix confirmed the next limited-time character for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will be the FFIX villain Kuja. He’ll be available starting on September 29, 2026, and it will be possible to earn him by playing as an “Until the Final Curtain” season reward. A free “The Thief and the Princess” limited time Memoria will also be available as a season reward and from Sealed Ability Crystals during that period until October 26, 2026. Zidane will get a Stellazzio’s Scion costume too.

Kuja will be a ranged character who deals wind-based damage with his attacks. He’s voiced by Akira Ishida. If you hold down the attack button, he’ll use a Photon Wave Unique Ability to deal AOE damage and dodge. His Vibrant Soul passive increases his attack based on his Bravery. His Abilities are R Angelic Advance, SR Force Symphony, UR Flare Star, and UR Trance. 

There’s a first trailer for Kuja too, which you can see below. It teases all of his attacks.

As for the new Zidane costume, here’s how that cosmetic will look on the always-available character in Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. We will only see it on an outfit draw banner that will run between October 12-26, 2026. 

Two UR abilities that can be equipped by anyone and are based on FFIX will appear too. These are Vivi/Focus Thundaga to deal damage and Garnet/Princess’ Resolve to offer a HP regen effect. 

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is available for Android and iOS mobile devices and Kuja from FFIX will be available in-game between September 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026. The Zidane Stellazzio’s Scion costume will appear via a banner between October 12-26, 2026.
