GreenTech North America wrapped up its inaugural edition in Philadelphia on Thursday, September 24. The final day of the two-day event continued with sessions on topics including artificial intelligence, energy and water costs, scaling controlled environment operations, and market-driven crop production.

CEA techniques
On the trade show floor, exhibitors continued conversations with visitors about greenhouse production, automation, climate control, and other technologies used in controlled environment agriculture. Increasing efficiency is key for many growers.

The visitor mix included growers from different segments, with exhibitors noting a relatively strong presence of ornamental and pot plant growers, as well as several cannabis growers. Following this maiden edition, exhibitors emphasized the value of having established a starting point for the event and said they are looking forward to building on it in the coming years. The next edition is scheduled for September 22-23, 2027, again at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
