MOSCOW, September 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vucic, have discussed relevant issues on the international agenda, including the situation around the Ukrainian conflict, and the situation in the Balkans, in a telephone conversation, the press service of the Kremlin reported.

"They discussed current issues on the international agenda, including the Ukrainian crisis. <…> While exchanging views about the situation in the Balkans, the heads of state noted the importance of preserving the Dayton architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of Republika Srpska," the report said.

Vucic also shared his impressions about the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly with Putin.

Vucic expressed gratitude for Russia’s comprehensive assistance to Serbia, especially in helping to fight forest fires, the press service added.
