LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin has a lifetime’s worth of stories from his time as the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator under Nick Saban, and while fans have heard a ton of them, a new absolutely hilarious one surfaced this week at SEC Media Days in Tampa.

During an appearance on the SEC Network for Kiffin, along with Saban and the rest of the studio crew, Saban gave his former prodigy a friendly warning about what he is going to be walking into in Oxford when the Tigers return to face Ole Miss early in the season. Bringing up his first return to Baton Rouge as Alabama’s head coach and all the booing he was subjected to, Saban said Kiffin is going to surpass that.

“I’ll say this Lane, when you get to that game, give me a call because you’re going to break the record for the ass kicking you get for the place you go back, because I have it right now when I went back to LSU after going to Alabama, so I’ll give you some coaching points on how to get through that,” Saban joked.

This led Kiffin to take a trip down memory lane of a story he remembered from one of Alabama’s various showdowns in Tiger Stadium.

Kiffin said during one of the games in Baton Rouge when he was on Saban’s staff, he noticed Miss Terry before the game putting something on the ground, and when he asked her what she was doing, she responded that there was “real voodoo here.”

Obviously, whatever Miss Terry was doing worked pretty well throughout his tenure, because Saban went 6-2 at Tiger Stadium during his career at Alabama.

Given that new Rebels head coach Pete Golding is also a former Saban assistant though, it seems safe to say Kiffin may be on his own when he takes his Tigers team to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford.
