The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, in association with the University of Tennessee Hamilton County Extension, are holding their annual “Fall Garden Festival” this coming Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., outdoors at the Hamilton County Extension Center and Bonny Oaks Arboretum, 6183 Adamson Circle, off Bonny Oaks Drive. The Festival is free to the public. Free parking is available. 

The Fall Festival provides the Master Gardeners with the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise with the public through a wide range of gardening and nature-related exhibits and demonstrations. 

Throughout the day, Master Gardeners will present talks on fall gardening practices, as well as answer questions at the Q&A table. 

In addition, there will be a wide array vendors with perennials, trees and shrubs suitable for fall planting, gardening supplies, nature-inspired crafts and homemade foods and treats. Plus there will be an area with fun and educational activities for children. 

Proceeds from the Fall Festival and other MGHC events support their Scholarship Fund and Community Garden Grants program. 

Officials said, "We have seen that interest in gardening has grown in recent years. 'We Teach You How' is our mission, and we look forward to meeting and educating the many interested gardeners in our area.”
