An Alabama woman was found guilty Tuesday of physically torturing a child and brutally hurting him.

Erin Griffith, 28, was charged with aggravated child abuse.

The Grand Bay resident was accused of hitting a child in the head and body, WKRG reported.

Mobile County court documents reveal that a jury found Griffith guilty on September 22, according to the outlet.

She had abused and viciously beaten a child with an unidentified object, court documents said.

It is unclear whether the child was her own or not.

Griffith will be sentenced on November 5, according to WKRG. 

Griffith has a history of child abuse, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. 

Documents from Alabama courts reveal that Griffith was previously charged in another child abuse case in 2024.

She was arrested on November 29 that year and was held on bond set at $15,000.

She was released from jail on December 2.
