Freiburg are looking to make it four Bundesliga wins from four on Saturday as they travel to face Eintracht Frankfurt.

After a difficult opening couple of weeks, Eintracht Frankfurt finally picked up their first league win of the season last time out, claiming an impressive 3-1 win away at Mainz.

Adi Hütter's side had taken just one point from their opening two matches, drawing 3-3 with Union Berlin before they suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Augsburg. 

But Die Adler went on to produce a much-improved display in the Rhein-Main derby, with Can Uzun netting twice and Jonathan Burkardt scoring against his former club. 

Noah Atubolu also played his part too, saving a Nadiem Amiri penalty as Frankfurt climbed to four points from three.

Saturday's meeting brings an immediate reunion for Atubolu, who left Freiburg for Frankfurt during the closing stages of the summer transfer window. 

The Eagles have enjoyed this fixture in recent seasons, taking at least a point from 12 of their previous 13 Bundesliga meetings with Freiburg. 

Last season's corresponding match ended in a 2-0 victory for Frankfurt, with Fares Chaibi and Jean-Matteo Bahoya scoring in the second half.

Team news

Jeremiaha Maluze will miss Saturday's clash with a hamstring problem, while Nnamdi Collins remains a doubt. 

There has been better news regarding Ansgar Knauff and former Freiburg man Ritsu Doan, with both back available following their respective issues. 

Chaibi has also been working his way back after illness, but he did train individually on Thursday.

Freiburg could have hardly made a better start to the Bundesliga campaign. 

Julian Schuster's side sit at the top of the Bundesliga after winning each of their opening three matches, scoring ten goals and conceding just the once in the process. 

After beating Werder Bremen 4-1 on opening weekend and edging past Paderborn 1-0, Die Breisgauer produced their most convincing performance yet against Borussia Mönchengladbach last Saturday. 

Yannik Engelhardt and Igor Matanovic both scored twice, before Maximilian Eggestein added a fifth to seal a thumping 5-0 win at Europa-Park Stadion. 

Freiburg have now won all six of their competitive fixtures this term, scoring 22 goals along the way, while another win would equal the club's record of five consecutive Bundesliga wins across seasons. 

Saturday's trip should provide their sternest league examination so far, though, with Freiburg failing to win any of their last eight Bundesliga meetings with Frankfurt.

Schuster has an almost fully fit squad available to him as his side travel to Hessen. 

Florent Muslija remains unavailable, but he is the only absentee, leaving the visitors with plenty of competition for places after last weekend's five-goal showing.
