Capcom has revealed the most popular Resident Evil characters as part of a new fan poll.

This was a new initiative that the company kicked off back in July to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary. Fans were able to vote for their favorite characters via the Resident Evil Portal to rank the ultimate favorites across the franchise. Voting took place between July 15 and July 29.

Results have now been published in the Resident Evil 30th anniversary book. We have rankings for both heroes and villains.

Given the popularity of Resident Evil 4, it’s no surprise to see Leon at the top for the heroes. As for villains, Albert Wesker is at the top there – he’s been a prominent figure in the series since the very beginning.
