Brahma AI has successfully raised $150 million through preferred share issuance led by Multiples. This funding values the company at $2 billion post-money and aims to support product development and research initiatives. The company has been awarded a Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for its innovative AI-based technology. It is also preparing to launch interactive digital human applications across various sectors.
Mumbai: Brahma AI, an AI-native operating system for enterprise audiovisual content, has raised $150 million through a preferred share issuance led by homegrown private equity firm Multiples, said people familiar with the matter.
The fundraise fetched Brahma AI a post-money valuation of $2 billion, one of the persons said.
Brahma AI was founded by British-Indian entrepreneur and technology investor Prabhu Narasimhan, who brought together technology and teams from DNEG, Prime Focus Technologies and Metaphysic to build the independent AI company.
Current shareholders include DNEG and United Al Saqer Group, besides investors who held stakes in Metaphysic prior to its merger with Brahma AI in February 2025.
Brahma AI is expected to use the proceeds to support its global expansion, including investments in research and development, technology platform and sales capabilities, said the people cited above.
Brahma AI and Multiples didn’t respond to email queries.
The company is preparing to launch interactive digital humans and is developing a platform that supports multiple AI models. It is also working on applications across media and entertainment, sports, healthcare and advertising. It is also developing tools related to security, authenticity and content provenance, including identifying whether content is genuine or altered, establishing ownership rights and tracing its origins.
These issues have gained significance amid AI-generated content becoming more widespread.
Experts say the broader adoption of AI in content production is expected to affect production costs, workflows and content creation volume.
Chandrashekar Mantha, partner and media and entertainment sector leader at Deloitte India, said the technology could enable existing teams to produce more content rather than simply reduce headcount.
“The real power of AI will come when the existing number of us generate a lot more content, and a lot more meaningful, a lot more varied, a lot more personalised content,” said Mantha.
Brahma AI was recently named a recipient of a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy Award for AI-based face replacement and performance-preserving post-production transformation. The award recognised the company’s Neural Performance technology.
The company has partnerships with Google and Hakuhodo. Its partnership with Google combines Brahma AI’s audiovisual technology with Google’s AI ecosystem, while its partnership with Hakuhodo provides access to the advertising and creative industries in Asia.
