He has irked his Kent neighbours, not to mention his glamorous Bake Off co-star Nigella Lawson, with his flashy commutes by helicopter.

But having been forced to park his £500,000 chopper at a local aerodrome amid noise complaints earlier this year, Paul Hollywood is back landing on the rear lawn of his £1 million farmhouse, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Local residents have confirmed seeing Hollywood, 60, in the Robinson R44 Raven as recently as three weeks ago, and some have resumed airing their complaints about his noisy comings and goings in the local pub.

As one who lives near the celebrity baker in the outskirts of Ashford told the MoS: 'They're disgruntled about it because of all the noise. The ones living behind his house, they're really in the coalface. He's Paul Hollycopter!' 

Another added: 'I saw him flying it into the garden three weeks ago.

'I don't think he had any intention of stopping [using it]; he still had that windsock up in the field.' 

Flight logs obtained by this newspaper for Hollywood's chopper reveal it was used as recently as last week for an 18-minute journey from 'near Maidstone' to Kent International Airport.

Hollywood, who began training to become a pilot in 2022, has also been using his helicopter for his 120-mile commute to Berkshire to film the latest series of Channel 4's Great British Bake Off, which airs later this month.

The MoS revealed earlier this year that Ms Lawson, 66, who replaces Prue Leith as a judge on this year's show, is said to have found his travel arrangements as 'all rather cringe'.

In an interview in The Times yesterday, the cook said of their relationship: 'What will people say of us on the programme? I feel that half will go, 'Oh, there's clearly something going on with them,' and the other half will say, 'Oh, clearly they don't like each other at all.' I feel like that's fine.'

His neighbours, however, have been less diplomatic.

Two years ago, they complained that their peace was being disturbed by the TV presenter flying over their homes.

It is claimed that Hollywood, who is rumoured to earn around £14 million a year, and his wife Melissa enjoy using the helicopter for jaunts to luxury hotels.
