UN, September 22. /TASS/. The United States will keep resorting to the use of its military force in order to ensure the country’s key national interests, US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday.

"The United States will no longer permit threats to America to gain a foothold anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. And if necessary, we will use our unmatched military might to secure the vital national interests of the United States," the White House quoted President Trump as saying at the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

The US president also drew parallels between drug cartels in Latin America and the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS, outlawed in Russia) calling them "the ISIS of the Western Hemisphere." He added that they are "enemies at war with civilization."
