Tenpin is to take a prominent 23,000 sq ft unit, opposite the leisure extension, just across from the cinema entrance, and hopes to open this autumn.

A Queensgate spokesperson said that the new site will offer a premium entertainment experience for families, friends, and corporate groups.

Visitors can look forward to 20 bowling lanes, a fully stocked bar, a delicious menu, interactive darts, pool tables, private karaoke rooms, and an expansive arcade.

The spokesperson said: “The new site will be the brand’s second in the region and will showcase Queensgate’s appeal to best-in-class leisure operators.

"It will join the existing Odeon, which is the city’s only IMAX cinema, Putt & Play, and the upcoming Umami World Buffet.

The new addition comes after Queensgate bosses reported that its leisure offer ‘continuously outperforms expectations’ with sales and footfall increasing 71 per cent and 25 per cent year-on-year respectively, thanks to its regional dominance and wide catchment of affluent visitors.

The signing of Tenpin comes shortly after the opening of café and eatery, Jamaica Blue, and the continued success of Frasers as a major regional anchor.
