MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Russia has to achieve the objectives of its special military operation by force, as there is no hope for dialogue with Kiev, political commentator and former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the US State Department Larry Johnson told TASS.

"I see little hope for negotiations (a possible new round of talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine - TASS)," Johnson said. "Ukraine is unwilling to accept Russia’s conditions and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin has made it very clear what Russia’s conditions are, which is, one, the recognition that the Donetsk, Lugansk [People’s Republics], Zaporozhye, Kherson, and Crimea are permanently part of the Russian Federation."

"The denazification of Ukraine has to take place, which means new elections. They’re unwilling to do that," he noted. "The demilitarization - that they have to reduce the size of their armed forces and eliminate any relationship with NATO. They’re unwilling to do that. I think Russia’s only option is to defeat them militarily."

According to the former CIA officer, the US is fundamentally aimed at destroying Russia. "I think the Russian people need to recognize that. This isn’t a matter of a misunderstanding or failure to communicate," Johnson said. "The deep-seated within the United States plan is to destroy Russia. Can’t have a country this big."
