THE HAGUE, September 22. /TASS/. European Union envoys will try again on September 22 to reach a deal that could lift sanctions against Russian businessmen Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridman, with restrictive measures against thousands of other individuals and legal entities renewed for three years, Reuters reported, citing diplomats.

The proposed agreement is still being discussed in European capitals, one of sources said, adding that no final decision has been reached yet.

France joined Slovakia earlier in September in pushing for sanctions to be lifted on Usmanov, the agency said. Later Luxembourg demanded the same treatment for Fridman, according to diplomats.
