14 August 2026, Omaha, Nebraska – Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, accompanied by Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders, held a meeting with representatives of the Greater Omaha Chamber.

The Greater Omaha Chamber is the chamber of commerce in Nebraska founded in 1893 with jurisdiction over two Iowa counties and six counties in Nebraska. The Greater Omaha region is home to Fortune 500 companies, innovative tech startups, a strong ag economy, and over one million in population spread over 4,000 square miles.

The two sides discussed possible collaboration on shared interests, including possible trade missions, as well as people-to-people linkages. [END]
