This on-screen couple isn't out of the woods yet.

Reese Witherspoon shared a smiling photo on Sunday with her costar Adam Scott while on set of Big Little Lies.

In the show, the pair play husband and wife until Scott's character, Ed, finds out that Witherspoon's character, Madeline, had an affair. 

The photo shows the smiling costars as they sit comfortably on floor pillows at what looks like a couple's retreat.

In the last episode, Madeline offers to go on a couple's retreat to help mend the relationship and according to this photo, the actress is letting fans know that he took her up on that offer.

'Ed & Madeline are going away for the weekend… but where to? Find out tonight on @biglittlelies! #BLL2,' she shared alongside the photo.

The actress donned a purple Lululemon jacket and leggings while her costar also kept it casual in a gray T-shirt and jeans.

On last weeks episode, the couple showed their brave faces at a disco-themed birthday party while they work through their relationship in private.

The cast looked decked out to the max as they posed in a behind-the-scenes photo in between takes on set. 

The show follows three women in Monterey, California who get wrapped up in a murder.

This season, Meryl Streep joined the all-star cast. She also joins, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and Nicole Kidman.

Big Little Lies premieres a new episode on Sunday's on HBO.
