Police are now investigating the collision.

On the afternoon of Aug. 25, police responded to reports that a woman riding a bicycle on 106 Street was hit by a delivery truck as it headed west on 81 Avenue.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and did not report any injuries at the time. First responders took the woman to the hospital, but she later died from her injuries on Sept. 12.
Investigators with the police’s major collisions section do not believe speed or alcohol were factors. However, police are reviewing details around the crash and have ticketed the driver for failing to stop.
