The 1996 action comedy Bulletproof  starring Adam Sandler and Damon Wayans has been slated for a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc release Sept. 22 by Kino Lorber.

Directed by Ernest Dickerson, the film follows a former undercover cop (Wayans) tasked with protecting a witness (Sandler) slated to testify against a drug kingpin (James Caan) who wants both of them dead.

The cast also includes Jeep Swenson, James Farentino, Kristen Wilson, Allen Covert, Mark Roberts, Xander Berkeley and Monica Potter.

The film has been remastered from a 4K scan of the original 35mm camera negative, and will be available as a combo pack with both 4K and regular Blu-ray discs, and a standalone Blu-ray Disc version.

The 4K disc will present the film with HDR and Dolby Vision. Both discs include 5.1 surround and lossless 2.0 audio and two new audio commentaries: one from Dickerson with entertainment journalists/authors Bryan Reesman and Max Evry, the other by action film historian Mike Leeder. Additional extras on the Blu-ray Disc include the featurette “A Character That Helps to Tell the Story,” an interview with Berkeley; deleted scenes; and the film’s theatrical trailer.
