systemd_commander is a terminal user interface for managing systemd services and browsing journal logs. The project provides two closely integrated applications: systemd_commander for service management and journal_viewer for examining journal entries.

The software is built with ncurses and presents common systemd administration tasks through a keyboard-driven interface. Services can be inspected and controlled without repeatedly entering systemctl commands, while logs for a selected unit can be opened directly in the accompanying journal viewer.

Privileged operations are requested only when necessary rather than requiring the complete interface to run as root.
