The global market for robotic food kiosks and vending systems is projected to grow from $188 million in 2026 to $1.75 billion by 2036, representing a compound annual growth rate of 25%, according to a Future Market Insights report.

Rising labor costs, demand for consistent food preparation and interest in round-the-clock service are encouraging operators to consider automated systems for airports, workplaces, hospitals, campuses and retail locations.

Hot-meal robotic kiosks are expected to lead the product category with a 44% market share in 2026, while transit hubs are projected to account for 34% of installations. Hardware, including cooking systems, robotic mechanisms, payment terminals and kiosk enclosures, is forecast to generate 52% of market revenue. High acquisition and maintenance costs remain obstacles, but growing acceptance of unattended retail and improvements in remote monitoring, cashless payments and inventory management could support wider adoption.

South Korea is expected to post the fastest growth at 27% annually through 2036, followed by the U.S. at 26% and Japan at 23%. Vendors are increasingly being evaluated on equipment reliability, menu flexibility, software integration and long-term service capabilities as operators look beyond experimental installations toward larger commercial deployments.
