With June looking likely to break all records for the hottest on record, we took a stroll through Clapham Common and captured these scenes.
The shade of the trees was most welcome.

Taking in the sun.
The wooded areas of Clapham Common take on a different character at night.
Exercising in the shadow of the towers of Nine Elms and Vauxhall.
The Grade II listed bandstand on the common was constructed in 1890 and is the largest bandstand in London.
The popular Pear Tree cafe is located next to the bandstand.
There’s dedicated cycle lanes running through the park.
Long Pond.
Model boat sailing on the Long Pond was established by the mid 1800s with an official club created in 1870.
The current Clapham Model Yacht Club was formed in 1934 and they’re still sailing boats today.
