Riana Sather is an artist who turned to commission work when the pandemic took three jobs in a single week. She fell in love with Alaska’s railways and went on to become a certified train conductor for the Alaska Railroad, now drawing creative energy from the breathtaking landscapes she sees from the locomotive. Previously selected as the official artist for both the Alaska Railroad and the Alaska Mint medallion, Riana embodies the resilient, resourceful, and creative character that defines Anchorage.
