Skyrim (switch 1 version) on switch 2

I just bought Skyrim (switch 1 version) for my switch 2 cuz it was on sale for 19.99. great game so far but it keeps force closing the game and I have to relaunch it. I researched this and only found two fixes. 1- delete old save files so to not have a ton of saved data 2- check for corrupted data and fix it. I did the first thing with the save files but switch 2 doesn't have an option to check for corrupted data. Does anyone know how to stop the game from having these force closes?
